Little Bear's Journey is a children's book written by Walter Wooden. A resident of Frisco, former educator and artist, Walter traveled around the world with his wife Jeannette, and wrote Little Bear's Journey based on their many travels together.
In 2013, two years after publishing his beloved book, Little Bear, Walter suffered a stroke. He was no longer able to manage his company, Blue Marble Graphics. While going through boxes filled with books, Jason Wooden a counselor at Independence High School and Walter's son, wondered if they could be given to the Frisco ISD students for a project. He contacted Mrs. Walker, the CTE Animation teacher, with his idea. Jason proposed that the students could bring Little Bear to life by creating an animation video, giving them the opportunity to build positive relationships with community members, and adding the meaningful experience to their portfolios.
The project is set to be finished the last week of the 2014-2015 school year.
